Koh Tsu Koon should make up for his 17-month failure to provide annual State Government grants to the Chinese Independent Secondary Schools in the next Penang State Assembly.

Dr. Koh Tsu Koon has been Penang Chief Minister for 17 months. His greatest disappointment is that he has failed to live up to his promise when he entered politics, which is to ‘attack into the Barisan Nasional to rectify the Barisan Nasional’. DAP calls on Anwar Ibrahim to uphold Vision 2020 by extending the $500 million revolving fund for investments to all the 142,000 hard-core poor households and not just to 100,000 hard-core poor bumiputra households

DAP calls on Anwar Ibrahim to uphold Vision 2020 by extending the $500 million revolving fund for investments to all the 142,000 hard-core poor households and not just to 100,000 hard-core poor bumiputra households.

The DAP is most disappointed the Finance Minister, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, is not extending the $500 million revolving fund to give interest-free loans for investments to all the hardcore poor regardless of race. Manjeet Singh should state whether Dr. Mahathir is right in accusing the Bar Council of being influenced by Opposition parties on its stand on the Lord President, Tun Hamid Omar.

Former Bar Council President, Manjeet Singh is now em¬broiled in a public controversy with the Bar Council, which accused him of taking a stand wholly inconsistent with the position he had throughout taken during the period when he held office in the Bar Council and the views he had been expressing at home and abroad until, the end of last year. For the second day in succession yesterday, lawyers appear¬ing in the Supreme Court were asked to explain their stand if they dispute the position of Tun Abdul Hamid Omar as Lord President. The MCA and Gerakan Ministers must give satisfactory explanation why they are opposed to the new Education Bill being made public so that Malaysians have ample time of at least two months to study it before a Parliamentary debate and voting
