MCA Deputy president Datuk Lee Kim Sai said yesterday there is no need for any further discussion on the question of the MCA’s greatest concession in 42 years and said that it is better to do ‘practical work’. At my press conference yesterday, I was asked to comment on the MCA leaders attacks that the DAP leaders are not fit to talk about Chinese education issues, and their claim that the MCA Constitution is better than the DAP Constitution with regard to mother – tongue education. Kim Sai’s fourth clarification has confirmed that that the MCA’s latest policy stand is that there is constitutional guarantee only for the study of Chinese as a language, but not for Chinese primary schools using Chinese as a medium of instruction

Kim Sai’s fourth clarification has confirmed that that the MCA’s latest policy stand is that there is constitutional guarantee only for the study of Chinese as a language, but not for Chinese primary schools using Chinese as a medium of instruction.

In my second letter to the MCA President, Datuk Seri Dr. Ling Liong Sik yesterday. I had stated that if it is unsuitable for him to have a meeting at the MCA Headquarters next Tuesday. I am prepared to invite him to the DAP Headquarters in Petaling Jaya to sign the MCA-DAP Joint Declaration on the Constitutional right, status and guarantee for Chinese primary schools.
