The Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Dr. Mahathir Mohamad, said in Jakarta on Friday that the countries of the South should be allowed to develop, democracy according to their own definition. In Kota Kinabalu yesterday, Transport Minister, Datuk Dr. Ling Liong Sik said that until there is proof from the police, he would not implicate his ‘political enemies’ for the various Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) disasters and accidents or suspect that there were ‘political motives’ behind the various Kuala Lumpur International Airport fires. It is now revealed that there had been three and not two ‘near-miss collisions’ between two aircrafts at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport in the past three weeks. In Kota Kinabalu yesterday, the Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Dr. Mahathir Mohamed, said: “We want responsible opposition… not those like (Lim) Kit Siang (the DAP Secretary-General). He is not responsible. He only digs dirty things… even things which are not dirty he makes it dirty”.
