The latest news of continuing carnage and atrocities form Bosnia-Herzegovina is that six children were killed and three seriously wounded in Serb-besieged sarajevi yesterday as two mortar bombs into their hilly residential district one kilometer from Serb lines. Government economic adviser , Tun Daim Zainuddin , yesterday blamed the star for causing panic selling on the Kuala Lumpur Stock exchange two weeks ago , and said that the Star had ‘irresponsibly “ used a misleading heading in its report which caused the panic selling”. The Hotel Metropole demolition scandal is different form the Donybrook and Lin Radio cases because the Gerakan dimension caises grave questions about propriety and integrity

Both the penang Chief Minister Dr. Koh tsu Koon and the MPPP President Datuk Tan Gim Hwa seem to be acting in concert in wanting to give the people the impression that the demolition of Hotel Metropole is not so serious , outrageous and scandalous in view of the two earlier cases of demolition of heritage buildings in George Town. The United Kingdom press are still reverberating from the testimony at a top British civil Servant to the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) at the House at Commons on Tuesday that British Prime Minister John Major gave the tinal go -ahead for the aid for arms deal between Malaysia and the United Kingdom involving the RM 1.8 billion Pergau and project and the RM 5 billion Malaysian arms purchases from Britain.
