DAP will condemn PAS Kelantan State Government if Liong Sik or Keng Yaik can prove the truth of anyone of the eight measures of oppression and persecution of the Chinese in Kelantan

DAP will condemn PAS Kelantan State Government if Liong Sik or Keng Yaik can prove the truth of anyone of the eight measures of oppression and persecution of the Chinese in Kelantan

A day before the DAP delegation met the Kelantan Mentri Besar, Nik Aziz Nik Mat, I sent an urgent fax to the MCA President, Datuk Dr. Ling Liong Sik and the Gerakan President, Datuk Dr. Lim Keng Yaik, to furnish five instance of the oppression and persecution of the Chinese in Kelantan and I promised to raise them with Nik Aziz in out meeting. I had hoped that after the fact-finding visit of the DAP delegation to Kelantan early last week, the MCA and Gerakan leaders will be more rational and responsible and have the individual, party and ethnic self-respect to stop making wild and baseless allegations against the DAP. After the three-day visit to Kelantan by the DAP delegation, and the meeting with the Kelantan Mentri Besar, Haji Nik Aziz Nik Mat, the DAP is still waiting for the MCA President, Datuk Dr. Ling Liong Sik and the Gerakan President, Datuk Lim Keng Yaik, to furnish instances and examples that the Chinese in Kelantan have been ‘oppressed’ and ‘persecuted’ by the Islamisation measures of the PAS-led Kelantan State Government which infringed their non-Muslim rights and interests. Before I reply to Fong Chan Onn, can he prove that he is not a stooge of the headless and faceless MCA paid ‘cultural assassins’ by having a public debate with the DAP on Islamisation policies and measures in Kelantan and Malaysia?
