So long as Selangor Islamic Law Administration Enactment is not amendment, regulations restricting conversion of non-Muslims to those above 18 years can always be challenged in Shariah court as unlawful

So long as Selangor Islamic Law Administration Enactment is not amendment, regulations restricting conversion of non-Muslims to those above 18 years can always be challenged in Shariah court as unlawful

On Sunday, the Selangor Mentri Besar, Tan Sri Mohamed Taib, stressed that the Selangor Islamic Law Administration (SILAE) would not amended and that Section 67 and 70 which violate the fundamental parental rights of non-Muslims to the unfettered custody, guardianship and control of their children and their freedom of religion would not be amended. DAP calls on the Selangor State Government to set up a $50 million fund to give interest-free loans to help the 2,000 illegal factories to regularise and legalise their operation

The Selangor State Government has announced that it had identified more than 2,000 illegal factories in the state and those sited on private agricultural land would be given three months to either cease operation or apply to convert the land to industrial use.
