Call on Dr. Mahathir to instistute a public inquiry into serious MCA allegations questioning the intergrity of Ling Liong Sik involving his dealings in MPHB, KSM-MPHB Investment Fund, Roltan Finance and Pyemas.

The Inspectors-General of Police, Tan Sri Haniff Omar, said recently in his talk on white-collar crime, that among the 4.324 people found to have been involved in misappropriation of funds over the past five years, there were 82 lawyers, 450 company directors, 427 businessmen, 168 Government servants and 3,197 company employees. The financial loss in the past five years amounted to $367 million from criminal beach of trust (CBT) and $233 million from cheating. DAP, Semangat 46, PRM and AMIPF are likely to take a common stand of staying out of the Consultative Council, on Education Act 1990.

It is most regrettable that the Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Dr. Mahathir Mohamad, should use his visit to the Pin Hwa Secondary (Private) School in Klang to announce a $100,000 allocation, to launch a bitter attack on the 27 Chinese educationists and human rights activists who joined the DAP on August 18. One of the most unsatisfactory and deplorable acts of the Barisan Nasional government is its handling of the UMNO properties and assets following the deregistration of UMNO, after the Prime Minister and Home Minister, Datuk Seri Dr. Mahathir Mohamed, had refused to save UMNO although he had adequate powers under the Societies Act.
