Negri Sembilan DAP leaders, members and branches have resolved to make a new start to re-establish the state’s political leadership and influence in the national struggle for Full Liberalisation ada democratisation in Malaysia

I have come to this press conference in view of the decision of the Negri Sembilan DAP State Committee to ask the DAP Central Executive Committee for guidance and direction and to take over the Negri Sembilan State GAP so that the Negri Sembiian DAP could re-establish its political leadership and influence in the national struggle for Full Liberalisation and democratisation in Malaysia. Sad that when the top priority of Penang State Government, as to free Penangites from the curses’ of endless power blackouts and floods , it is more interested in giving jobs for the boys’ by increasing three new Exco seats

Call on MCA and Gerakan Ministers to inform the Information Minister and the Cabinet that the Justice Pao television series is the best educational material in the world to inculcate the values to fight corruption and abuses of power

The silence of the Cabinet on the Information Ministry ban on the Justice Pao television series is most, disappointing, as it means that the MCA and Gerakan Ministers have failed to raise the issue in the Cabinet, yesterday to get the ban removed. Yesterday evening, just before I left the DAP Hqrs for the Subang International Airport to catch a flight to Penang, I learn of the Bukit Aman police statement that I have been asked to give clarification to the CID Director

An Indictment of Police bias when investigating government leaders and police officers as compared to Opposition leaders presented to Bukit Aman Police Headquarters by Parliamentary Opposition Leader, DAP Secretary-General and MP for Tanjong, Lim Kit Siang, on Thursday, 28th September 1995

Yesterday evening, just before I left the DAP Hqrs for the Subang International Airport to catch a flight to Penang, I learn of the Bukit Aman police statement that I have been asked to give clarification to the CID Director. Datuk Mohd Said Awang on my statements calling on the police to withdraw the report against Irene Fernandez for criminal defamation, to co-operate in an independent inquiry into Tenaganita allegations about mal-treatment of Bangladeshi and other illegal immigrants in Imigration detention camps and for expressing my lack of confidence in the impartiality and independence of the Police when it has to conduct investigations involving government leaders and the Police.

I am always prepared to co-operate with the police in the public interest and I immediately cancelled my flight to Penang and phoned up Bukit Aman to contact as I was told CID director, Datuk Mohd Said Awang. I could not contact him as I was told he was playing golf.
