DAP apology to the voters of Kepayang for a by-election five months after the General Elections

The Elections Commission has announced that Nomination Day for Kepayang by-election would be on Sept. 30 and polling on Oct. 16. First of all, the DAP wishes to apologise to the voters of Kepayang for the holding of a by-election five months after the April General Elections. The Party cannot justify Sdr. I have relinquished my position as Perak State Chairman

With effect from yesterday, I have relinquished my position as Perak State Chairman. The Deputy Perak Chairman, Lau Dak Kee, will be the acting Perak State Chairman.

The party has also directed the Perak State Convention scheduled to be held on Sunday, 29 August, to be postponed to October 24. The Perak 1000-people dinner in Ipoh on Sunday, 29th August, will be on as scheduled. Party leaders including Party Chairman, Dr. Chen Man Hin, and I will attend the dinner. Srinivasan, the Deputy Registrar of Titles, Encik Zainal Abidin Nordin, the former secretary to the State Assembly, Encik Muslim Haji Adnan and the former private secretary to Datuk Hormat, Puan Isha Bee Hussein, for their individual gain.
