Government’s aim to eradicate poverty and to strengthen national unity

Speech by Member of Parliament for Bandar Melaka (DAP) Mr.Lim Kit Siang, in the Dewan Ra’ayat on the debate on the Royal Address from the Throne on 9.3.1971

Mr.Speaker, Sir, His Majesty, the Yang di-Peruan Agong, in his Royal Address, spoke of the government’s aim to eradicate poverty and to strengthen national unity.

We do not quarrel with these objectives. But there is considerable room for disagreement as to whether government policies and measures are aimed at these objectives, or whether, on the converse, they can only aggravate economic inequality and undermine national solidarity and unity.

Despite the government’s multi-pronged economic policies, the single most important economic and social problem continues to be unemployment, which condemns hundreds of thousands of Malaysians to a sentences of poverty, social humiliation and disgrace. China’s call for nuclear summit

China’s call for nuclear summit

China’s repeated call for a world nuclear summit conference to ban and destroy all nuclear weapons is indication of her interest to explore possibilities of world nuclear disarmament.

The fact that China, a nuclear power and the biggest country in the world with a quarter of mankind as her population, is barred membership from the United Nations is ample proof of the short-sighted and perverted foreign policy of the United States, the prime opponent to China’s entry to the U.N. Extract of speech by DAP Secretary-General and M.P. for Bandar Melaka, Mr. Lim Kit Siang, at a welcome party given by the Klang DAP branch on Saturday, 10th Oct. 1970 at Ban Siang Ean Restaurant at 8 p.m.

Malaysia and China

At our first international conference, the DAP called on all countries in the world to admit China into the United Nations.

This was at the Socialist International Conference in Zurich, Switzerland, in October 1967, where the DAP formerly became a member of the world-wide association of democratic socialist parties. Continue reading Malaysia and China

Lim Kit Siang reveals details of Alliance committing Malaysia in the World Anti-Communist League

Statement by DAP Organising Secretary and Parliamentary Candidate for Bandar Melaka, Mr. Lim Kit Siang, at a Press Conference on 8th May 1969 at 12.30p.m.

Lim Kit Siang reveals details of Alliance committing Malaysia in the World Anti-Communist League

Two days ago, at a public rally at Bagan Ajam, Butterworth, the Minister of Education, Inche Khir Johari, denied a DAP charge that the Alliance had drawn Malaysia into the CIA-sponsored World Anti-Communist League.

This Is what Inche Khir Johari said: “this is far from the truth. We have never been a member of this league.”

DAP not satisfied with Tun Tan Siew Sin’s denial that a foreigner is directing Alliance and MCA elections operations

Statement by DAP Organising Secretary and Parliamentary Candidate for Bandar Melaka, Mr. Lim Kit Siang, on 3rd May 1969:

The DAP, and the majority of Malaysians, will not be satisfied with Tun Tan Siew Sin’s weak and flat denial that a foreigner, Mr. Wu Ling Yu, is directing Alliance and MCA general elections campaign.

Tun Tan Siew Sin’s statement that Mr. Wu is not a CIA agent is also not convincing. Just because the Sunday Mail carried a report of Mr. Wu Ling Yu some months back is not proof that Mr. Wu is not a CIA agent. Nobody expects Mr. Wu to confess or declare that he is a CIA agent to newspaper interviews.

I have asked Tun Tan eight questions, but he is unable to answer a single one of them.

This is because neither Tun Tan, nor any Alliance leader, can deny that in September 1967, Malaysia joined in convening and establishing the CIA-sponsored World Anti-Communist League is that every League member nation should accept into its country so-called ‘anti-communist’ experts, with the intention to direct, supervise and overseer its foreign policy, political, cultural and economic decisions. Statement by DAP Organising Secretary and Parliamentary Candidate for Bandar Melaka, Mr. Lim Kit Siang, on 1st May 1969:

Tun Razak and Tun Tan Siew Sin denied that a foreigner is directing Alliance and MCA general elections propaganda campaign. He wants me to name him.

The foreigner is Mr. Wu Ling Yu, self-acclaimed “expert on anti-communist tactics and strategies for 20 years.

I challenge Tun Razak and Tun Tan Siew Sin to answer the following eight questions: Continue reading Lim Kit Siang names foreigner directing alliance and MCA general elections propaganda campaign

DAP accused Alliance and MCA of having a foreigner, to direct its general elections propaganda campaign

Speech by DAP Organising Secretary and Parliamentary Candidate for Bandar Melaka, Mr. Lim Kit Siang, at the 7th DAP Public Rally at Bandar Kaba on Sunday, 27th April 1969 at 9p.m.

DAP Accuses alliance and MCA of having a foreigner, who is probably a CIA agent, to direct its general elections propaganda campaign

In the past one week, Tun Tan Siew Sin, Inche Khir Johari, Inche Musa Hitam, running short of materials for speeches and statement, have individually invented tales of foreigners meddling with Malaysian politics by siding with the Opposition.

When they were challenged to substantiate their allegations, they hut up their mouth and having nothing else to add. This clearly expose the emptiness of their allegations, which are sheer fabrications to confuse the people and discredit the Opposition. MCA’s so-called ‘anti -communist’ expert, Mr.Wu Ling Yu

Speech by DAP Organising Secretary, Mr.Lim Kit Siang, at Serdang Bahru DAP Branch ceremony to welcome new members into the Party, held at Serdang Bahru DAP Branch on Thursday, January 9, 1969 at 8p.m.

During the Serdang by-election, I disclosed that the Alliance government, without consulting or informing the citizens of Malaysia, took Malaysia into the American-Formosan sponsored world Anti-Communist League (WACL) in September last year.

One of the objective of the world Anti-Communist League was to work for the over throw of the communist regime in china, and to actively support every anti-communist measure of Chiang Kai Shek in his 20-year futile dream to regain China from Mao Tse Tung.

I had condemned this irresponsible action of the Alliance government and called for Malaysia’s immediate withdrawal from the World Anti-Communist League, as it is not to Malaysia’s short-term or long –term interest to get involved in and support Chiang Kai Shek’s futile dream.

The Alliance could not justify its arbitrary action in taking Malaysia into the World Anti-Communist League. it refused to withdraw Malaysia out of the World Anti-Communist League. On the contrary, the MCA had already imported a so-called anti-communist expert, one Mr. Wu Ling Yu, to help the MCA train its members and master-mind the political orientation of MCA rank and file.
