MCA has got the most muddled, confused and direction-less national leadership in 41 years of party history
Last Sunday, at the 41st MCA anniversary celebrations in Kuala Lumpur, MCA President, Datuk Dr.Ling Liong Sik, accused the DAP of wanting to establish an Islamic State by co-operating with PAS.

Four days later in Parliament, the Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Dr.Mahathir Mohamed, warned the DAP and what he described as “our friends”, the Malaysian Consultative Council of Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism and Sikkhism (MCCBCHS), “not to play with fire” for a nation-wide campaign opposing any imposition of Islamic laws on non-Muslim Malaysians. Most regrettable that the Gerakan is so desperate about retaining the next government that it had missed and turned the Governor’s Address into a partisan election call

It has now come to my attention and knowledge that after the three – hour MCA Central Committee meeting on Wednesday, 29. 11. 1989, the MCA President, Datuk Ling Liong Sik and the MCA Deputy President, Lee Kim Sai, actually gave three versions of the three – paragraph MCA Central Committee statement to three different language media on the issue of the eight MCA Selangor State Assemblymen.
