Wang Ah Hoong should withdraw his test case on Section 67 of the Selangor Islamic Administration Law Enactment from the Supreme Court and out MCA to the test that thise issue has been resolved in the “Barisan Nasional spirit”

Two news reports yesterday and today have again highlighted the unresolved Selangor Islamic Law Administration Enactment, which had deprived the fundamental right of parents to unfettered control, guardianship and custody of their children below 18 years of age, and their freedom to decide on their religion. Ling Liong Sik should confirm whether he had prior knowledge and given authorization to the action by the eight Selangor MCA State Assemblymen to send in their threat of collective resignation on December 15

The threat by the eight Selangor MCA State Assemblymen to collectively resign by December 15 if there are no suitable amendments to the Selangor Islamic Law Enactment has raised many questions as to whether this is just a political ploy. The second time that the eight Selangor MCA Assemblymen have threatened resignation has been aptly described by one newspaper headline today as “Eight Assemblymen produces new trick”, although this is not completely correct. For now, it is not the right MCA Selangor Assemblymen who are producing this new trick, it is the MCA itself which has come out with this new trick.
