I congratulate the Gerakan for its new ‘comradeship’ with MCA, where the Gerakan National Publicity Bureau, under Dr.Kang Chin Seng, came out in swift public support of Dr.Ling Liong Sik after I challenged the MCA President to agree to the establishment of a Public Inquiry for him to prove his allegation ‘that the Chinese in Kelantan are being oppressed and forced to leave the State’. MCA Presidential Council next Tuesday should decide whether to support the establishment of a Public Inquiry on the oppression of Chinese in Kelantan or dissociate itself from the MCA President’s allegation

The MCA has directed its two members in Kelantan who have been appointed to the committee on non-Muslim affairs set up by the PAS-Semangat 46 State Government to withdraw from the Committee. Malacca Chief Minister, Tan Sri Rahim Tamby Cik told a special Bernama interview that ‘the Malacca government will not hesitate to close the Mardec and Myfex factories located near the Durian Tunggal water pump house if they are again found to be sources of pollution of the Malacca River.
