Saudara-saudara dan saudari-saudari,

The first issue of the English Rocket journal for 1977 will appear by the latest in the first week of September. After that, we English Rocket will appear monthly on time. Sdr. P. Pattoo will be responsible to see that this is done.

Rockets in other languages cannot yet be published as the Home Affairs Ministry permit for them have not been issued.

The planning and production of Rocket journals and other publicity and political materials is only the first half of the challenge of making a breakthrough to communicate with the people of Malaysia. The other half is that of dissemination, to ensure that every copy of publication issued by the Headquaters is given out to the rakyat to read. At this juncture, it will be an inexcusable waste of effort and resources if party liaterature are allowed to gather dust. Continue reading From the SG’s Desk

1974: An Eventful Year

1974: An Eventful Year

1974 had been an eventful year for the DAP. We fought the 1974 general elections and emerged as virtually the only Opposition in West Malaysia. In Malacca, we are the sole Opposition, and although we have only four Assemblymen in an Assembly of 20, we have proved that we are capable of speaking up for the hopes and fears of the people. The Malacca State Assembly will be very lively for the next five years, and we hope that the Malacca State Assembly will be convened regularly so that it can perform its function and role as the highest legislative chamber and forum in the Malacca State.
